The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for the quality oversight of Century Arms supply base for US-manufactured firearm parts. This oversight of suppliers includes conducting on-site quality system audits, first article inspections and source inspections along with various other tasks at Century Arms related to the incoming inspections, first articles, screenings and defect communications.
Responsibilities
· Conducts supplier on-site quality system audits.
· Conducts Source inspections to product specifications both domestically and internationally.
· Conducts onsite First Article inspections.
· Creates and executes Incoming Inspection plans for firearms and parts.
· Screens defective material for identified non-conformances.
· Identifies problems and conducts Root Cause analysis on supplied parts in order to eliminate supplier defects.
· Maintains record of non-conforming materials.
· Creates, issues and accepts supplier corrective action requests.
· Reviews, approves and communicates First Article inspection results to internal customers and suppliers.
· Arranges disposition Non-conforming material.
· Trains new Quality Control inspectors.
· Routinely delegates priority assignments and inspection activities to others within the Quality Assurance Team based on business demands.
· Stays on task with assigned duties at all times.
· Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
· Support and adhere to all ISO standards applicable to the Company.
· Adheres to all employment policies/safety policies/practices required by law/established by Company.
· Wears all necessary Personal Protective Equipment directed by the Company at all times.
· Demonstrates complete understanding of firearms safety.
· Maintains and keeps workstation and department area clean.
· Immediately reports and resolves any maintenance and/or safety issues in conjunction with Management.
· Demonstrates a positive attitude toward co-workers, other department and the Company.
· Maintains respect, courtesy and professionalism toward all co-workers and the Company.
· Communicates clearly and effectively with co-workers and management.
· Actively participate and support the 5S process within the work area on a daily basis.
· Other duties will be assigned as required.

· Must be a HS or GED graduate.
· General mechanical ability is required.
· Possess sound problem-solving skills.
· Interact effectively with peers, staff and all levels of Management.
· Ability to use Excel, Word and Outlook
· Strong understanding of Trigonometry and Mathematics
· Experience with Industry Sampling Plans
· Demonstrated ability to used Standard measurement tools, height stands and optical comparators
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
