Job Description:
This individual will be responsible for the property management of a portfolio of commercial and multifamily buildings in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee day to day property management operations.
Manage the lease renewal process, and the vacant space turnover process.
Bid, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts.
Oversee capital projects throughout portfolio.
Oversee written and electronic tenant communications and requests.
Resolve tenant issues and complaints.
Ensure compliance with Property Management policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and city, state and related governmental agency requirements.
Regular property inspections and reviews the physical properties curb appeal, common areas, vacant apartments, and notes any deferred maintenance items for subsequent follow-up.
Coordinate with assistant property managers and property controllers.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing commercial / residential properties in NYC.
Strong knowledge of building operations, including all maintenance programs to ensure the proper and efficient operation of systems.
Strong problem-solving skills with keen ability to identify and address tenant issues in a timely and effective manner.
Knowledge of NYS and NYC rent laws.
Ability to work autonomously, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
