Fast pace growing commercial and residential plumbing, heating and conditioning company in Hunterdon County is looking to fill its newly created position of Project Engineer / Junior Estimator.
We are looking for self-motivated, reliable, independent, confident person with excellent organizational and analytical skills and with up to 3 years of business related experience to assist and work with our Sr. Project Estimator and Project Managers and Management. The goal is to lead the project engineering projects needs and duties and support the estimation department on its current growing needs.The position offers great growth opportunities within the company.
Below are the roles and responsibilities; ·
Manage schedule preparation, pre-planning and resource forecasting for engineering and other activities related to commercial plumbing projects.
Assist in all phases of the estimation process; – gatherings bids – organizing - preparing -presenting bids – project take offs - submittals
Attend any pre-construction and job meetings as needed. Visit with or without project managers the job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
Lead in the preparation of technical reports, plan specifications and supporting documents.
Participate and assist the Senior estimator with various projects.
Maintain the logistical and organizational workflow of the department.
Participate in the implementation and learning of newly installed industry wide estimation software FastPipe.
Help develop and maintain the relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Analyzed job costs reports to determine deviations from estimated.
The position requires a 4 college degree or community college degree in engineering, construction science or relevant discipline. Familiarity with financial and project management skills. Fluent in Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge or familiarity of any CAD software..
