Overview:
If you're a foodie at heart, come to work with us and spend time prepping and serving meals for residents patients, staff, and visitors. We have an immediate opening for for a full-time DIETARY AIDE who is willing to train and fill occasional shifts as a cook.
In this position you will work 32-36 hours per week primarily 6am - 2 pm with rotating weekend and holiday shifts. Occasional later shifts (to 8 p.m.) may be needed.
When you're not helping prepare and serve meals and interacting with residents and guests, you'll help with routine cleaning and sanitizing in the kitchen and dining areas.
Duties Include:
- Assisting with food preparation
- Serving meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen and dining areas, following food safety protocols
- Collaborating with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow
- Providing excellent customer service to residents, addressing any concerns or special requests
Skills:
- Excellent customer service and patient care skills
- Understanding of sanitation practices and food safety regulations
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a kitchen environment with fluctuating temperatures
- Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Starting wage will be dependent on skills and experience within range listed.
