Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental procedures, possess strong organizational skills, and be committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing materials and instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform basic dental laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate records
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment room
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft
- Familiarity with medical coding and insurance billing processes
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and record patient information
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic technique
- Experience with CAD/CAM systems for digital impressions is a plus
