Mariners Express LLC is looking for marine mechanics with experience in Mercury, Volvo Penta, Yamaha and other brands. This position is full-time and starts in April.
Responsibilities:
Performing all types of marine repair jobs including but not limited to basic maintenance (oil changes, filter changes, anode replacement, etc) to major repairs (engine overhauls, lower unit rebuilds, outboard replacement). Winterizations and activations, shrink-wrapping, and building frames. Repairing of AC/DC electrical, plumbing fresh/grey/black water systems. Trailer lighting, bunks, lifting watercraft and repositioning etc. Technicians will also be trained on a fork lift.
Caring for company tools and equipment..
Coordinating with welding and painting departments for cross departmental jobs.
Assisting front staff with estimates to customers and ordering parts.
Providing an excellent customer service experience by explaining answers to any questions specific to the mechanic.
Pay and Perks:
Hourly DOE. No experience - $18/hour but you need to be very willing to learn. If you can pick and replace parts with little oversight - $30 plus/hour. Have your own tools? more $$$
Mechanics are paid bi-weekly.
Shop hours are 8am to 4:30pm Monday thru Friday in the winter. We are 7 days per week from 8am to 6pm in the summer.
Requirements:
Must be able to work in the U.S.
Any certifications in applicable trades or brand certifications in any marine power will get you more $$$. Paid experience gets you more $$$. We can start you off fresh without any knowledge as well.
