This $50mm Construction Components Manufacturing Company is privately owned, has been in business for over fifty-six years and is located in the Los Angeles metropolitan area with easy access to multiple freeways. The Company’s staff has a family feel with many of the employees having been with the company for most of their careers. The company specializes in fabrication and installation of their products in large construction projects such as hospitals, schools, high rise office structures, sporting arenas, university classroom buildings, large parking structures, etc. The company has a well-established reputation in the construction industry with a strong market share in its served markets.
Reporting
Relationship: The Accounting Manager reports to the CFO/Controller and has responsibility, authority and accountability for preparing the full financial statements for the company.
Education: An undergraduate degree is desired, ideally in “Accounting”. Business savvy, proven ability and relevant experience will be the major deciding factors.
Experience: Minimum of ten years General Ledger/General Accounting experience with a minimum of five years’ experience working in a full charge accounting software environment. Experience should include intimate knowledge in defining and posting input from a manufacturing environment. General system software experience is a must. Strong proficiency using MS Excel is a critical skill.
Function: This is a hands-on position requiring collecting and validating input data, posting to the general ledger, closing the month- end/year- end financials statements, preparing financial summary and analysis reports for the Company’s senior management, preparing required regulatory returns and permits and in general maintaining strong accountability of the company’s financial records. Strong liaison with other members of the accounting staff working in AP, AR and Payroll

The successful candidate will ideally be living in Southern California area and will also be a highly experienced and creative individual with a demonstrated record of leadership in general accounting. Must be capable of understanding the existing accounting software package with the ability to analyze and communicate the financial results and trends to management. Be driven to refining and maintaining timely and accurate financial reporting.

Salary: $85k-$95k plus a potential performance based bonus.
