We are looking for a mixologist whose career path is the liquid culinary arts.
At Deviation Distilling, we are looking for experienced and enthusiastic bartenders for our cocktail lounge at the popular Dairy Block in downtown Denver. This person will have strong customer service skills and the ability to make craft cocktails in a high-paced environment. Our cocktail bar features our 5 unique gins, Barista Whiskies, and Dairy Block bourbon.
The ideal candidate is TIPS certified, have a background in creating craft cocktails and craft spirits. This person will learn about the Deviation Distilling process for producing grain-to-glass spirits.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Prepare cocktails for customers
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks
- Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Check customers identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Applicant Qualifications:
- Willing to pick up short shifts (4-6hrs/day)
- Able to work Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Possible additional shifts when needed
- Outgoing personality with a passion for craft spirits a must
- 2+ years previous experience in bartending a plus
- Proven ability to work with little to no supervision
- Be organized and detail oriented
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
