Benefits Account Manager
Description
Risk Services of Louisiana, a Leavitt Group affiliate, is looking for an experience Benefits Account Manager to work remotely within the State of Houston or Louisiana.
This position provides client support in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and quality of work. An Account Manager must possess a strong sense of commitment, drive, enthusiasm, and communication/documentation skills.
Responsibilities

Maintain day to day client relationships, including overall account management

Maintain relationships with internal co-workers and vendors

Daily management of Activities/Records

Document activities and materials in agency operating system
-
Claim resolution, billing, and eligibility issues (if no Account Coordinator)

Prepare, review & manage annual service calendar, if applicable (if no Account Coordinator)

Manage client deliverables
-
Manage the entire marketing process (e.g., census audit, Request/RFP, Rate Analysis template, checking in quotes, analyze proposals, negotiate terms)

Quality Control (QC) presentations created by Account Coordinator and/or create “client ready” presentations

Oversee the Implementation and Annual Enrollment processes

Annual enrollment presenter
-
Update agency operating system as needed
-
Check-in/QC documents (e.g., SPD, contract) for accuracy, suggest changes when needed
-
Run carrier reports as needed and update financial analysis reports
-
Present strategic initiatives to Account Executive and/or Producer

Provide compliance guidance
-
Manage 5500 filings
-
Prepare client financial statements, including mid-year reports to be delivered by Producer and/or Account Executive

Respond to all calls and emails within 1 business day

Perform special projects as needed
Position Requirements

Must have 8 + yrs. in Benefits Account Management within and insurance agency broker

Knowledge of federal and state regulations

Advanced Excel skills

Exceptional communication skill both written and oral

Ability to handle confidential information with maximum discretion

Ability to work independently and on a team within a fast-paced environment

Strong follow-up skills

Demonstrate good judgment while managing projects, multi-tasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines with a sense of urgency
