Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a Senior MES Engineer for our new factory in Columbus, Ohio.
This MES chief engineer reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. Other main responsibilities include: 1, Documents system requirements, defines scope and objectives, and creates system specifications that drive system development and implementation. 2, Incumbents function as a liaison between IT and users and have both business and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Oversee MES system maintenance and support, ensuring timely recording, analysis, resolution, and organization of user system issues to enhance operational efficiency.
- Identify and address common MES system challenges by proposing and implementing improvement measures, while coordinating with relevant parties to standardize processes.
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions for key MES system users and end-users to ensure proficiency and effective utilization of the system.
- Provide expert analysis and recommendations for MES system issues, contributing to the refinement and smooth operation of the system.
- Manage user permissions and system parameter adjustments, maintaining optimal system configuration in line with organizational requirements.
- Lead the implementation and advancement of MES system optimization tasks by analyzing system issues, documenting requirements, and developing strategic solutions.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources to execute system improvements and integrate new solutions, continuously aligning system capabilities with business needs.
- Spearhead MES project initiatives from conception to deployment, including project planning, requirement analysis, system configuration, testing, data import, user training, and post-launch support. Additionally, manage and adapt job roles and system access in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
- 4 to 7 years of related experience.
- Outstanding learning and communication ability.
- Ability to contribute and support multiple MES projects simultaneously.
- High-level programming skills are preferred.
- Experience with Rockwell MES and interfacing with ERP systems.
