Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Wellness Director/Executive Director to join our team. I prefer that you hold at least and LPN license in the State of MS. As the Wellness Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the assisted living home. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, great people skills and team building skills. Love for the elderly is a must!
Duties:
- Help nursing staff to develop and implement comprehensive wellness programs for residents in assisted living facilities
- Supervise and train staff members in delivering high-quality wellness services
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the facility as well as outside to develop care plans tailored to individual resident needs
- Continue to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs for each resident
- Ensure compliance with all MSDH regulations and guidelines
-Evaluate and help implement proper activities with activity coordinator to ensure the wellbeing and socialization of residents
-Monitor meal services to ensure quality and tasty food is prepared and served in a timely, safe and efficient manner
-Help market the facility and reach out to those seen as potential residents or healthcare providers that would have relationships with potential residents
- Evaluate potential residents and work with our nurses, families and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and accurate intake of new residents
- Manage employees to ensure that residents are receiving the love, care and compassion that they deserve
- Ensure 3 shifts are staffed appropriately and work load is carried out fairly
Qualifications:
-Prefer an LPN license in the state of MS or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, nursing)
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an assisted living, skilled care or home health setting
- Strong knowledge of healthcare as it pertains to the elderly
- Proven ability to supervise and lead a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong work ethic with ability to diversify as needed throughout all aspects of the operations
- Ability to manage expenses and inventory
