SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The Warehouse Lead will oversee a team of warehouse clerks and material handlers under the direct supervision of the warehouse supervisor/manger. The warehouse lead would be expected to train, develop, and coach the warehouse team members on assigned tasks and duties. Additionally, the lead will be responsible for covering any absences when the warehouse supervisor is out of office. In this role, the lead will ensure that inventory is properly handled, labelled, packaged, transacted and accounted for. Additionally, the lead would be expected to develop ongoing solutions and continuously improve systems and the warehouse area. MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Unload deliveries and stage for receiving inspection or put-away

Perform data entry as required

Stock inventory onto proper shelf locations

Practice FIFO inventory issuance

Pick inventory for transfer to production, return to warehouse or shipment to customers or vendors

Perform inventory cycle counts, research missing inventory/materials and report any discrepancies

Assist warehouse, shipping and receiving personnel with day-to-day activities as needed

Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor or Logistic Manager
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 3 to 5 year of experience in a warehouse environment, previous experience supporting a manufacturing environment is preferred

1 to 3 years of lead or trainer experience is required

Must be familiar with computer systems including MS Office and data base systems (FileMaker Pro preferred)

Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English

Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work with all levels of the company

Ability to operate a pallet jack and forklift
-
Maintain work areas in neat, orderly and safe manner

Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
SALARY: $28.00-$30.00 DOE
