Summary:
Under minimal direction of the Service Manager, this position exists to act as a liaison between the customer and dealership. The person is responsible for promoting and ensuring customer satisfaction by assisting with the enhancement of labor and parts sales.
Essential Functions:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain two-way communication between the customers and the Service Department on current status of work-in-progress.
- Submit completed warranty claims to Warranty Administrator.
- Turn in work orders on a daily basis to Service Administrator for processing.
- Responsible for following up on all quotes and monitoring all jobs on a daily basis.
- Work with parts expeditor to ensure that parts are ordered in a timely manner.
- Transmit repair orders to the appropriate technicians
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other duties as assigned
Experience:
- Previous experience as a service writer or in a similar customer service role is preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customers and technicians
- Attention to detail and the ability to accurately document customer concerns and repair orders
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic math skills
