Job Overview:
Leasing coordinators are property management professionals who manage all aspects of the lease, including coordinating agreements, scheduling tours, and maintaining records. They also work with landlords and tenants, and may assist with applications, tenant checks, and maintenance coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Show available properties to prospective tenants and provide detailed information about the features and benefits
- Screen potential tenants by reviewing applications, conducting background checks, and verifying references
- Reviewing lease terms and conditions with prospective tenants, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including conducting property inspections and documenting any damages or repairs needed.
- Collaborate with the property maintenance team to address tenant concerns or maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, including tenant information, lease agreements, and rental payments
- Utilize property management software (such as Buildium and Excel) to track leasing activities and generate reports
Required:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with prospective tenants
- Proficient in administrative tasks, including record keeping and documentation
- Familiarity with property maintenance procedures and ability to address tenant concerns promptly
- Basic in using property management software (Excel/ Buildium)
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
Preferred:
- Proven experience as a Leasing Manager or similar role in the real estate industry
- Strong knowledge of property management principles and practices
