Crisp and Associates, LLC is a Criminal Defense and Military Law firm located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and is looking to hire a full-time, on-site Legal Assistant or Paralegal. This position has the potential for significant growth into more challenging tasks and responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:
- Managing and accurately recalling current information for clients.
- Calendar management – meticulous tracking of dates, communication of details to all relevant parties, daily briefing of attorneys.
- Organizing client lists to include statuses, last contact, and next hearing date.
- Drafting, proofreading, and filing legal documents including letters to clients, motions, legal briefs, case synopsizes, etc.
- Regularly following up with other staff and clients to ensure no loose ends.
- Litigation specific – reviewing and synopsizing discovery, preparing witnesses, building trial binders, preparing mitigation and sentencing materials, etc.
- Conducting legal research.
- Frequent phone coverage with potential clients, clients, witnesses, court staff, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Strong sense of discretion.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Able to Multitask in multiple areas of legal practice.
- Outstanding customer service and phone presence.
- Able to work as a team with attorneys.
- Excellent typing skills (at least 50 wpm).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook 365.
- Familiarity with legal documents and terminology.
- Familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn military structure and terminology
- Familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn court systems at the state and federal level
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of an associate’s level college education in criminal justice, pre-law, english, history, or in another humanities discipline preferred. Education requirements may be waived for applicants with 5+ years of paralegal experience.
- Legal office experience or experience in another high-tempo office position

- Flexibility with scheduling hours – early mornings, late evenings, and weekends will be occasionally required around trial weeks or other busy stretches
