Position Objective: To provide mental health support to members of the Oklahoma National Guard and eligible Family members as part of an overall support plan to enable Soldier and organizational success within the state. This is a position that requires autonomy and the ability to independently manage assigned workload. Ideal candidates are proactive, flexible, and have a passion to serve others.
About NSCG: Founded in 2012 with corporate offices in Elizabethtown, KY, NSCG is a full-service Government contracting firm that supports contracts and consulting efforts on a national level. NSCG works closely with the Oklahoma National Guard community to enable, and staff qualified mental health professionals in support of the Oklahoma National Guard’s readiness mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Crisis Response Counseling: Provide timely and compassionate crisis response counseling to Servicemembers and/or units facing distressing situations, offering emotional support and guidance to navigate through challenging circumstances effectively.
Behavioral Health Assessment and Referral: Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments to identify underlying issues and concerns among servicemembers. Facilitate appropriate referrals for further evaluation or treatment and provide ongoing follow-up clinical case management services to ensure continuity of care and support.
Short-Term Solution-Focused Psycho-Educational Support: Offer short-term, non-medical solution-focused psycho-educational support to Servicemembers, utilizing evidence-based techniques and interventions to address specific challenges. Limit support to a maximum of three sessions to provide focused assistance while maximizing resources.
Wellness Briefings: Deliver engaging and informative wellness briefings to units, servicemembers, and their families, covering topics related to mental health awareness, resilience-building strategies, and available resources for psychological support. Tailor briefings to the unique needs and concerns of each audience to promote overall well-being within the organization.
Guard Leadership Consultation: Serve as the recognized industry expert on behavioral health concerns and issues within the Oklahoma National Guard. Offer consultation and guidance to Oklahoma National Guard leadership on effective strategies for addressing behavioral health challenges, fostering a culture of support, and enhancing psychological resilience among personnel.
Qualifications:
- Masters in social work or counseling degree from an accredited educational institution from the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and be licensed by a State Board of Social Workers Examiners or equivalent to practice at Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and a working knowledge of desktop computer operations
- Experience working with military personnel (preferred)
- Provide a valid and current state license in the state of Oklahoma (Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Salary Range: $60-65,000 (negotiable)
