JOB SUMMARY
As a Business Development Specialist, “BDS”, with LoanCo Financial, duties include establishing relationships & network with loan referral partners, retail lenders, realtors, financial planners, and other industry professionals (CPAs, insurance agents, etc. for preparation, collection, and borrower applications to successfully close & fund commercial/business-use real estate financing transactions. Collect and maintain confidential data from clients such as financial statements, applications, personal business documents, title reports, and other sensitive documents required during the due diligence & underwriting process, according to licensing board guidelines.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain correspondence with borrowers throughout the origination and closing process, from loan application to funding
- As the client’s main POC, the Business Development Specialist is expected to both educate and guide potential borrowers through the loan application process through funding
- Complete initial pre-approval and evaluation of borrowers & properties for current market value and potential market value after upgrades have been completed
- Collect and maintain confidential data from clients such as financial statements, applications, personal business documents, title reports, and other sensitive documents required during the due diligence & underwriting process, according to licensing board guidelines
- Interview mortgage applicants to understand and educate them on potential financing options for their transaction
- Attend networking events and build rapport one-on-one with potential clients & referral partners
- An ideal candidate will need to be a strong communicator, adept with social media marketing, and comfortable working with a limited time schedule
- Report in-office with Operations Manager on a weekly basis for pipeline management & prospecting
- Update and maintain Loan Origination System for tracking and reporting
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- One to two years of related experience and/or training
- Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
- Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator is preferred but not required
- Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Texas is preferred but not required
- Proficient in Office suite as well as cloud-based CRM software
