Description - External
Under direct supervision, performs non-invasive vascular testing utilizing a variety of ultrasonic and plethysmographic equipment to obtain diagnostic images and blood flow data.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- A minimum of one year experience working in a vascular laboratory/diagnostic facility is required.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- National Accreditation as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required.
- Students that have trained in the Vascular Lab can be hired but must become RVT within six months or their position will be eliminated.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures.
- Some discomfort due to room size and heat generated from machines constantly running. ,
- May need to push, pull and lift patients and equipment that would be in excess of 100 lbs.
