DPCG is seeking a meticulous and proactive Project Manager to provide support for multiple portfolios within the VA. There are multiple sources of information that need to be updated at various frequencies to ensure the products stay in good standing within the organization. We are seeking a highly organized, dynamic, adaptable, and intellectually curious self-starter who has a passion for collaboration, alignment, and communication. Beyond this skillset, they also need to communicate to leadership their reasoning and justification for recommendations, requiring excellent communicative, and interpersonal skills.
Essential Functions:
- Collect, organize, and maintain data from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Develop and maintain documentation related to data sources, processes, and procedures
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
- Understand the deliverables, when they’re needed, and what work goes into completing the request
- Work with product managers to develop roadmaps, create business value propositions, and provide data for product scorecard reporting, compliant with VA standards
- Schedule, host, and facilitate meetings on products to ensure progress continues
- Directly communicate with other administrative staff, Product and Project Managers, and OCTO Leadership
- Provides communications and promotional support through the development of presentations, talking points, web content, social media, newsletters, and Congressional responses
- Assist in managing and coordinating specialized programs and initiatives, providing administrative expertise to enhance their success
- Develop and iterate on processes for efficient documentation management and maintain the ability to use project management tools for better tracking and to improve deliverable quality
Required Skills and Experience:
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in business management or a related scientific or technical discipline is required
- Candidate must also at least have 5 to 8 years of professional experience
- Strong communication skills including expressing ideas concisely and effectively, ensuring the message is understood by others and amplified
- Project management skills, with experience working in GitHub, Jira, and Confluence
- Strong organizational skills to manage tasks and processes across teams
- Ability to proactively work independently with limited direction
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sets of data
- Experience using a suite of business operations software to include, but not limited to, Slack, Confluence, and the full Microsoft Office suite (eg: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Project Manager experience, with a track record of managing complex projects
- Product Management / Software Development Lifecycle knowledge
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience with VAPARS and VASI
- Familiarity with Agile
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience working in a consulting environment and understanding of client/customer relations
- Capacity to think “outside of the box” while communicating or dealing with a variety of situations
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities

- Develop project plans, including scope, budget, and timeline
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry
- Proficient in construction management software such as ProCore, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Primavera
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, project scheduling, and project management principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
