We're looking for a highly organized individual with great attention to detail who prefers working outdoors to join our team. This position requires coordination and follow-through, so we need someone who is motivated and detail-oriented.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for overseeing 3-5 crews throughout Northern Wisconsin in our Telecommunication division. The General Foreman will be responsible for plan review and daily production and is expected to coordinate and supervise their team of crew members. The Foreman will be responsible for ensuring construction equipment is properly maintained; and keeping projects on schedule and within allotted budgets. The candidate should be extremely organized with excellent time management, leadership, communication, and project management skills. Travel is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate and schedule all construction activities according to project plans and timelines.
- Lead and manage a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and other personnel on-site.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies including JSAs.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control throughout the construction process.
- Manage materials, equipment, and labor resources effectively to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
- Monitor project expenses and work to keep projects within budgetary constraints.
- Identify and resolve issues or conflicts that may arise during construction, including technical challenges, schedules, conflicts and personnel issues.
- Maintain regular communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.
- Keep accurate records of project activities, including daily production reports, timecards, change orders and progress reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Foreman or similar leadership role in the underground construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite.
REQUIREMENTS
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Able to pass pre-employment background check.
- Willing to travel across the northern area of Wisconsin.
