Centerville Child Development Center is now hiring a Lead Pre-K Teacher.
Education Requirements: Child Development Associates Certification (CDA) Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, with experience working with children
Job Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning and implementing lessons in the classroom.
Familiar with the Creative Curriculum
Demonstrate the ability to interact with parents and co-workers to obtain and give necessary information.
Demonstrate the ability to cope with stressful situations firmly, courteously, tactfully and with respect for the rights of co-workers, parents, and children
Display good general intelligence and emotional stability.
Assist and supervise children, providing consistent care and meeting the needs of infants and toddlers.
Sit on floor with children; sit on a child size chair and at the child size tables.
Bend from knee and waist to talk to the children at their eye level (bend, stoop and squat).
Participate in local walks; participate in physical outdoor play, if applicable.
Participate with children in movement activities such as running, climbing, exercises, etc.
Lift a child weighing up to 40 pounds in a safe and appropriate manner.
Model standard languages to enhance children’s understanding of words and increase their vocabulary.
Observe children’s actions and hear children’s voices (verbalization).
You must be physically able to work 40 hours per week.
Salary is based on experience.
