The Talcott Center for Child Development in Farmington has immediate openings for Part-Time and Full Time pediatric Speech Language Pathologists. The Talcott Center is a privately owned pediatric therapy clinic that offers Occupational therapy, Physical therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), as well as Social Skills Groups to children ages birth-21 with varying needs. We have a Comprehensive Autism Program which takes a holistic multidisciplinary approach. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic SLP who is looking to provide direct services in collaboration with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team of OT's, SLP's, PT's, and BCBA's.
Position includes, but is not limited to:
- Working in collaboration with Occupational therapists, Physical therapists and Board Certified Behavior Analysts
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary team to facilitate the optimum intervention plan and constant communication and dynamic assessment regarding best practices for the individual child
- Completing client evaluations and developing treatment plans
- Implementing direct client intervention within a 1:1 setting, small group and larger group environments
- Providing supervision for speech assistants and/or students
- Participating in the development and implementation of group based programs in conjunction with BCBAs, OTs, and PT's
- Providing parent/caregiver education with grace and empathy
