We are looking for Materials Testing Technicians, Project Representatives, Senior Project Representatives and Construction Managers to join our construction services teams. We have positions available in the Mid-Atlantic region including Ohio, Northern, Mid, and Southern West Virginia. You responsibilities could include but are not limited to;
- Perform sampling and field testing on construction materials such as concrete, soils, aggregates or asphalt in both field and laboratory settings.
- Observe, measure, and thoroughly document construction activities with electronic daily reports.
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Effectively communicate, both orally and written, with client, contractor, and engineer.
- Endeavor to provide protection against defects and deficiencies in work.
- Maintain job site records with electronic daily reports and as-built redline drawings.
- Serve as liaison with contractor or client.
- Maintain records of time, materials, and equipment.
- Review pay requests and verify work completed.
- Perform construction QA/QC work across a variety of markets such as Water Resources, Transportation, Energy, Architecture and Land Development.
To be successful in this position, you will bring;
· Demonstrate knowledge of construction management and/or public works
· Willingness to travel for short and extended stays.
· Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
· Possess the ability to walk over rugged terrain and/or stand for extended periods of time.
· Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
· Regional travel to job sites is a requirement.
· Possess the ability to carry up to 50 pounds of equipment for extended periods of time.
· Knowledge of general construction and civil engineering practices is preferred.
· Possess a basic knowledge of mathematics.
· National or State testing certifications such as ACO, NICET, ICC, WVDOT are preferred but are not required.
· Safety certifications such as First Aid/CPR, OSHA-10, PEC Safeland are preferred but not required.
· A valid driver license.
