POSITION OVERVIEW
About the Position
This position reports directly to the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment under the leadership of the Chief Academic Officer. The English Learner (EL) Assessment Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the administration of AZELLA, collection and maintenance of EL student data, and state and federal reporting of EL data. This position will work directly with Edkey and school staff.

- Must possess or have the ability to possess a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint clearance card.
Preferred Requirements
- One or more years of experience with state reporting and assessment administration
- Bachelor’s degree in education
ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS
- Coordinate AZELLA testing for all Edkey schools; includes monitoring testing throughout the testing window and training Test Administrators on procedures, security, ethics, protocol, and test scoring.
- Ensure all Edkey schools are in compliance with State and Federal testing requirements for AZELLA.
- Act as AZELLA District Test Coordinator in ADE Connect for all Edkey LEAs; perform all responsibilities of this role as outlined by ADE.
- Ensure each school has a qualified AZELLA Test Administrator; administer the AZELLA test at schools when needed.
- Order, organize, distribute, collect, inventory, return, and maintain security of testing materials for all Edkey schools.
- Ensure testing is completed during the Placement and Reassessment test windows given by ADE.
- Provide training to all relevant school staff on the use of all state-provided EL reports.
- Assist schools in understanding all components of the AZELLA assessment and develop test prep strategies for improved reclassification rates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date EL need and program participation data in PowerSchool and AzEDS.
- Provide timely responses to Edkey Inc. administrators and school staff regarding EL data and/or compliance questions.
- Train EL liaisons, registrars, and other stakeholders to accurately identify and process all potential EL students upon enrollment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Working Conditions
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, crouch, bend, walking up and down stairs/ramps, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
