PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Architect, HRIS collaborates with key stakeholders to define, prioritize, and execute solutions to maintain and enhance an efficient Workday environment as well as designs or assists in the development of new technology solutions that integrates and/or replaces legacy technologies. This role completes and troubleshoots routine transactions (e.g. security, org changes, data loads) and analyzes, tests, and implements new Workday features and functionality.
Responsible for ensuring Workday is performing as expected; stable, error-free, and secure. Acts as configuration architect as well as lead over development team. Manages and owns overall security model, auditing, change management, release management, and system health. Continually seeks to improve processes and maintain system documentation. This role will provide guidance in design, implementation, testing, communication, maintenance, and administration in support of the company’s Workday strategy.
Reports to the Manager, HRIS.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

Ensures SDLC standards are maintained (Requirements, Design, Validation, Demo, UAT, and deployment)

Leads documentation standards through recommendations and implementation of best practices

Establishes, revises, and maintains procedures for updating, validating, safeguarding, and correcting employee records or other related HR data in a secure method

Manages release updates, strategy, testing, and communication

Leads and recommends to Manager, HRIS improvements to security framework (roles, groups, authentication, user access, etc)

Owns routine system audits and processes to maintain system health and efficiencies
-
Develops and leads projects revolving around the Workday system; continually seeking ways to improve processes and procedures

Conducts problem analysis, presents options, and leads business discussions to drive decisions in support of functional stakeholders of Workday solutions

Communicates and interfaces with internal and external clients, vendors, and other stakeholders

Researches, evaluates, and proposes solutions that add value to or improve business processes, with a particular focus on enhancing the overall HR capabilities

Meets with business partners to gather requirements and convert them into targeted technology solutions
-
Manages all aspects of project management including research, design, planning, development, and implementation including acquiring needed resources; coordinates project team efforts including third party contractors/consultants

Coordinates feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and provides advice and recommendations

Collaborates with analysts, designers, and system owners to test new software programs and applications

Identifies opportunities for improvement, develops solution, and leads or participates with team to implement

This role is an active developer role, working on configuration solutions, engaging partners, and providing overall direction on enhancements for team of Developers
EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:
-
Bachelor’s degree in HRIS, HR, IT, or other relevant discipline; MS/MBA degree preferred

Workday Pro in at least 1 area preferred

SHRM or PHR/SPHR a plus
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
-
Minimum seven (7) years HRIS administration
-
Minimum five (5) years Workday administrator experience
-
Well-versed in Workday technology and capabilities
-
Broad business and technology understanding and a deep awareness of industry trends in Enterprise Resource Planning and Human Resources.

Strong customer focus with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a timely and professional manner
-
Knowledge of general SaaS architecture and related components in deploying SaaS solutions covering data, infrastructure, security
-
Excellent computer skills with ability to create effective presentations using Word, Powerpoint, Visio, Excel, etc. including the ability to take complex topics and break down into simple, easily understood concepts

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
