The Methodist Home is currently seeking to fill a Part Time Marketing Assistant position. The Marketing Assistant works collaboratively with other personnel in the Agency to promote individual services and The Methodist Home as a whole using various platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with the publication of The Gateway magazine.
- Produce Acknowledgement/Thank you letters.
- Promote community-based services (HOPE Foster Care & Adoption, Lighthouse for Families Counseling Services, Tags of Hope, ENCC, and The Methodist Home overall) using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, etc.
- Keep and manage The Methodist Home message in the forefront of the communities we serve through web, print, radio, TV and other marketing opportunities.
- Assist with the management of the Agency website.
- Assist with the planning and production of promotional materials.
- Assist with coordinating special events.
- Take photographs of the youth, staff and other major events occurring on our Macon campus.
- Video/production.
- Produces creative and informational graphic designs.
- Plan, design and support production of brochures, posters and any other promotional materials as directed.
- Assist with special projects as requested.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements include but are not limited to the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Public Relations or a related field preferred; or three to six years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling or services.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software and Internet usage required.
- Knowledge of professional graphics and publishing programs such as Canva and Photoshop desirable.
Required Safety/Background Checks: All applicants must consent, and receive clearance from the following local, state and national agencies:
Bibb County Sheriff's Department
Department of Human Services (fingerprint required)
Motor Vehicle Record (must have a valid license for four consecutive years and applicant/driving record must be approved by our insurance carrier)
Child Abuse Registry, Department of Corrections, Pardons and Parole, Sex Offenders Registry, Medicaid Fraud
All employees must also pass a pre-employment physical, ten panel drug screen and TB skin test
