Job Summary:
Insurance/Accounts Receivable
This position is required for six months.
Hours:
7:30-4:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
8:00-5:00 Wednesday
Job Description:
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on insurance claims and denials
- Resolve billing issues
- Collection of past due insurance and patient balances
- Provide patients with excellent customer service regarding billing inquiries
- Issue monthly billing statements to patients
- Post patient and insurance payments
- Prepare bank deposits and reconcile to daily postings
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a dental or medical office setting
- Proficient in medical terminology and coding (ICD-10)
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification processes and managed care contracts
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing claims and billing
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, insurance companies, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
