We are seeking a full-time Front Desk Representative, who is vital to our company's success. Clients entrust our staff with the care of their precious pets and our front desk reps are the face of our company. They handle our clients with exceptional customer service, and keep our customers coming back!
- Responsibilities include:
- Working the front desk and greeting pet parents promptly and warmly
- Practicing superior customer service in person, over the phone, and by email
- Routine cleaning in the front part of the facility.
- Scheduling dogs for a variety of services.
- Assisting other staff with a variety of roles as needed, including supervising playgroups.
- The most qualified candidates will have the following characteristics:
- Able to maintain an organized front desk with extreme attention to detail and keeping clear daily notes for the team
- You must have a positive attitude and work well with other people
- Professionalism (both in communication and in personal appearance).
- Able to quickly learn company software system and know Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Eagerness to learn new skills
- Responsible, reliable, and prompt. Consistently being late and/or calling off is not an option.
- Sell and up-sell daycare, boarding, grooming, training and retail
- Excellent grammar and spelling
- Check dogs in and out of daycare or boarding and maintain the necessary information for their stay.
- Receive payment and keep accurate invoices, revenue reports, and cash drawer
- Conduct closing procedures: balancing cash drawer and maintaining Revenue Report
- Peer-to-Peer and Supervisor Relations
- Front Desk Representatives take direction from management
- Have a great sense of humor and be flexible and open-minded to new ideas and change
- Works well with others
- Steward of Building Care and Cleanliness
- Customer service coordinators take initiative to ensure the lobby and all areas of the building are clean, organized.
- Animal Caretaking
- Desire to learn or have first-hand knowledge of how to effectively manage and lead a room of dogs in a cage free daycare environment.
- Desire to learn or have first-hand knowledge of modern, compassionate animal care methods
- Ability to work in a DayPlay room as needed
Requirements for our Front Desk Representatives -Team Members:
- Ability to open the building at 6:15am or stay as late as 7:00 pm if needed
- Ability to work weekends and holidays if needed
- Responsible, reliable, and prompt. Consistently being late and/or calling off is not an option
- Available to work 30 to 40 hours per week with occasional overtime
- Customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Have reliable transportation
- Willingness to move quickly throughout the building while maintaining your composure and keeping a smile on your face!
- Must be comfortable working with all dog breeds
