Network Engineer
Bertram Communications LLC has an exciting opportunity for a qualified candidate to join our growing team as a full-time Network Engineer. The ideal candidate would be a self-motivated, highly organized individual who is passionate about technology.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs to protect data and infrastructure
- Manage the full lifecycle of network infrastructure projects from initial design through implementation, testing, and support
- Provide Technical support and guidance on network configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Document network designs, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and operational efficiency
- Install, configure, and deploy network hardware and software components, such as routers, switches, firewalls and access points
- Conduct initial testing and validation of network connectivity and functionality.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and incidents
- Provide Technical support to end-users, clients, and internal teams
- Respond to network outages, emergencies, and incidents to minimize downtime and restore service quickly.
- Pursue relevant certifications and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain network infrastructure and monitoring, including maintenance of component inventory, subscriptions, licensing, lifecycle management, and relation documentation, including physical layouts and logical data flow diagrams
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Network Engineering
- Experience with network performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers and internal teams
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong knowledge of routers, switches, access points, load balancing, Juniper, Mikrotik, OSP, BGP, and OSI layers
- A passion for technology
