Business accounting firm is seeking a qualified bookkeeper for monthly compilation work to include bank reconciliations through financial statements. This position would be responsible for processing multiple companies of all different types of industries.
Daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
*Enter data accurately and efficiently
*Generate sales tax and Year-End payroll reports and payments (W-2s & 1099s)
*Maintain system to account for financial transactions by following a chart of accounts
*Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
*Balance accounts by reconciling to bank statements
*Balance general ledger by preparing monthly financial reports
*Office Errands and Filing
*Answering Phones
*Assisting clients with IRS & Florida Dept of Revenue issues
*Assisting with tax data entry and various tasks during tax time
Qualifications:
> Working knowledge with MS Office required
> Working knowledge of Quick Books required
> Working knowledge of Quick Books Online required
> Working knowledge of Accounting CS helpful
> Prior accounting/bookkeeping experience required
> Prior accounting firm experience required
> Prior 1040 preparation experience helpful
> Outstanding telephone & communication skills
> Strong attention to detail
> Ability to multi-task
> Great organizational skills
> Looking for someone who can work efficiently without constant supervision
> Must have the ability to interact well with a variety of personality types
