Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of Summercrest as well as helping to maintain a professional, safe, and secure environment for staff and residents. When necessary this role might also be required to fill in for some activities duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Clean resident apartments once weekly and more often if needed. This includes bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, living/dining areas, and floors.
- Dust all tables, chairs, cabinets, lamps, light fixtures, wall vents, handrails, windowsills, blinds, and other fixtures at Summercrest at least weekly and more often if necessary.
- Cleans all offices at least weekly; empty trash receptacles daily.
- Dust and spot clean sofas/chairs daily as needed. Check for debris and vacuum as necessary.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and spot clean carpets in common areas weekly and more often if necessary.
- Clean and sanitize common area bathrooms daily. Refill paper towels, toilet paper, and soap dispensers daily.
- Clean the insides of windows and mirrors weekly; more often if needed.
- Empty trash receptacles twice daily if necessary and place them in the dumpster.
- Clean inside and outside of washers and dryers and empty lint traps daily.
- Help with the care of the Summercrest cat.
- Vacuum dining room carpet twice daily following breakfast and dinner meals.
- Spot clean dining room carpets as necessary.
- Check for marks on walls throughout the facility daily; clean as necessary.
- Identify potential maintenance issues and submit work orders.
- Demonstrate safe and proper techniques for the use of chemicals and cleaning solutions.
- Responsible for obtaining cleaning supplies, stocking cart, and maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly cart and storage area.
- Responsible for participating in required staff training.
- Offer support and assistance to other departments as necessary.
- Report any accidents and/or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain professional confidentiality regarding residents and community.
- Other duties as assigned by the Resident Services Director.
