We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Services Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to patients and healthcare professionals. ***Must be a Certified Medical Assistant; might support back office as a Medical Assistant when needed. Bi-lingual Spanish is highly prefered***
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Rooming and medication reconciliation
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
- Handle patient complaints or concerns with empathy and professionalism
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Knowledge of medical office procedures, terminology, Medical Assisting
- Proficiency in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Experience with electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient privacy
*Must be willing and able to pass a drug test and background check
