We are seeking experienced Guest Service Agents to be the smiling face at the front desk as our guests arrive and/or depart. You will be responsible for making reservations, greeting guests, ensuring accurate posting of the day's room charges, closing out business day, reconciling credit cards, maintaining a clean and friendly environment in the lobby and public areas, gathering proper payment and documents at check in, recommending restaurants, points of interest, or travel routes to their next destination, and ensuring our guests want to tell everyone about us! You will also be responsible for assisting in the Bistro as well as setting up meeting rooms according to the banquet request order, clean meeting rooms to prepare for the next day, and breakdown once completed. Other miscellaneous duties will included but not limited to assisting the sales department with clerical duties, restock gift shop next to front desk, and many more fun tasks!
We are busy hotel perfectly located on Lake Front Circle just a short walk from The Woodlands Mall and Market Street. We have 90 guest rooms and 1100 square feet of meeting space! Guest Service Agents must be able to work in fast paced environment while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude at all times. Guest Service is very important to us as well as maintaining fun, friendly, professional environment for our guests and team members.
JOB REQUIRMENTS
- Must have a "Can DO" attitude
- Previous Hilton, Marriott, or IHG hotel experience preferred but not required
- Maintain a professional and friendly attitude at all times
- Professional and clean apperance
- Conflict resolutions skills necessary
- Be able to work weekends and holidays
- Be able to work with little or no direction
- Be a self starter
- Detail Oriented
- Able to research numbers and locate discrepancies
- Basic Word, Spreadsheet or Excel Knowledge
- Be able to work with reports and comprehend numeric values
- Food Handling Certification Preferred but not Required
- Be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
- Be able to read, write, and speak English fluentley
