Responsibilities:
- Developing and designing surgical proposals, completing segmentation designs for TKA from computer Tomography (CT) images, CAD models, product drawings and 2D surgical templates for TKA and THA by following standardized work instructions.
- Ability to cross train in multiple departments.
- Analyzing patient CT and X-ray images to optimize product design and partnering with a case management coordinator to prioritize proposals and product designs based on customer demand.
- Checking and releasing previously designed image templates, image segmentation, proposals, and models to ensure a high level of quality.
- Assist with concept development under the supervision of Product Development Engineers or be assigned to special projects as needed.
- Work closely with Process Improvement Engineers to troubleshoot, solve problems, and provide suggestions for future improvements.
- Communicate regularly with various internal business associates, sales representatives, and surgeons.
- Maintain a schedule of deadlines and tasks and possess the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Provide feedback & may mentor as required
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
- For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
- Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
- Performs other duties assigned as needed
- Preferred but Not Required: Knowledge of Orthopedic anatomy
Skills:
- Biomedical engineering, MS Office - Excel, Design Engineering, Bachelor's in Engineering, Biomedical
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Engineering
- Knowledge of Biomedical Engineering
- Experience with 2D and 3D modeling
- Experience with MS Office-Excel
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, organized, ability to work independently, & problem solving skills.
