Full Job Description
Performs a variety of tasks and operations to prepare and cook food items as assigned for meal service.
High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Utilizes a variety of food service equipment, both large and small equipment. These include slicers, steamers, ovens, grills, stoves and kettles, large and small pots and pans.
Sensory requirements include near acuity (see clearly 20 inches or less). Should also have good hearing acuity (ability to distinguish sounds or tones). Subject to sufficient noise to cause distraction. Requires moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 pounds). Frequent standing and walking. Occasionally life supplies/equipment. Prolonged standing. Exposed to hot or noisy equipment. Experiences extreme fluctuations on workloads. Regularly exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat.
Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background and drug screens.
