Self Storage Property & Sales Manager,

Steelcreek Management is a family owned and operated North Texas based real estate company providing self-storage in Texas since the mid 1970’s under the name Watson & Taylor Self Storage and Steelcreek Storage. We are seeking a full-time Property Sales Manager for our Dallas area self-storage locations. We welcome a self-motivated, highly organized individual who can partner well with our existing storage team and help run large, premier storage properties as well as manage UHaul truck rentals. This is a highly active role with a high degree of customer interface. Team members receive monthly property performance bonuses, paid holidays as well as health, vision, and dental insurance. Fluency in Spanish is required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Market, lease, manage and maintain self-storage facilities in the Greater Dallas area
- Manage tenant rental payment including soliciting overdue rent
- Lease, clean and maintain UHAUL trucks
- Purchase, sell and manage moving and storage merchandise (boxes, secure locks etc..)
- Develop partnerships for referral business / new customers by marketing to the community
- Maintain the security of the property with property and lock checks several times a day
- Maintain the property and the facility’s equipment with frequent cleaning and preventative maintenance
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly property performance reports
Requirements:
- Fluency in Spanish
- Enjoy working with others and providing excellent customer service in person and on the phone
- Autonomous problem-solving mentality
- Valid driver’s license and independent transportation
- Clear drug and background screening
- Basic computer skills with willingness to learn Excel, MS Word and property management software
- Ability to lift 40lbs, bend, twist, sweep, walk for 30 minutes, change light bulbs on a low ladder
- Willingness to work outside for short periods of time in inclement weather
Education Level Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Steelcreek offers partial college tuition reimbursement for those continuing their education
Language Skills Required:
- Fluency in both English and Spanish
Working Environment:
- Office and outdoor work daily during 8-hour shifts, 5-day work week
- Approximate schedule: 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm Saturday. Closes on Sunday.
- Will typically work with one additional team member
- Will work closely with Area Manager and corporate team members
Pay & Benefits:
- 32 - 40 hours per week plus overtime when pre-authorized. 40 hours is desired, but we are flexible
- Monthly Property Performance Bonus equates to an additional $2 - $4 per hour
- Additional Bonus awarded based on percentage of rental payments collected each month
