The Material Handler is responsible for many daily activities. These activities include both daily production support tasks and receiving and distribution of raw materials throughout the production floor.
Main daily task is responsible for trash, recycle and scrap. Must be flexible on daily work changes and be self-motivated.
Shift: Monday-Friday 7am to 3pm
Job Description:
The primary responsibility is to receive and issue product for customer orders.
- Unload trucks, receives material into stock and issues/distributes materials.
- Issue customer orders/interplant orders to shipping.
- Returns excess material to stock.
- Prepares shipments and documentation to Harbour Canada.
- Delivers MRO items to proper departments.
- Prepares spool and vendor returns.
- Maintains inventory accuracy and floor inventories.
- Responsible for cycle count accuracy.
- Preform room/finish goods cycle counts on a frequency as required.
- Maintains orderly storage for remote point of use warehouse.
- Compares identifying information and counts or weighs items of outgoing shipments to verify against orders, or other records.
- Package material per packaging instructions.
- Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
- Receive product into the system: scan into computer and maintain computerized lists
- Document damaged product and prepare for shipping
- Works overtime as job duties demands
- Adhere to safe work practice.
- Conducts training as necessary.
- Adherence to AS9100 requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must be organized.
- Good math skills.
- Some computer experience needed.
