Covenant Agency has been established since 2010. Our office is located in Gainesville, FL. We specialize in working with behavioral clients and supported living placement. Our caregivers provide At-Home services 24/7 that include helping with bathing, food prep, transportation, light housework, and more. Additionally, our team members will provide companionship during mealtimes, as well as other activities. Covenant Agency's goal is to help the emotional and mental well-being of clients and their families.
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for making a positive impact on others' lives? We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Personal Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional support to disabled individuals in their daily activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist disabled individuals with personal care activities, including dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Support with mobility and transfer needs, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Help with meal preparation, medication management, and adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Provide transportation for medical appointments, social outings, and errands.
- Engage in meaningful activities and companionship to enhance their quality of life.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks and organization to maintain a comfortable living environment.
- Act as an advocate for the individuals, ensuring their needs and preferences are heard and respected.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving or working with disabled individuals is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and understanding towards the needs of disabled individuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build a strong rapport with the individuals and their families.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and be responsive to the individuals' evolving needs.
- Reliability and punctuality to provide consistent support and assistance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in caregiving or related fields are a plus.
Working Hours: This is a part-time position, with a flexible schedule to accommodate the individuals' needs. Some weekend and evening availability may be required.
