A Panner at GKI Foods coat a raw material with our different types of chocolate and yogurts. This is a messy, loud, and heavy job. The Panner is responsible to make the product possible as that finished good will be consumed by our customers. GKI has high quality standards that will be taught with on-the-job training. This is a learned skilled position. * Inspects raw ingredients prior to using and notify Quality/Operations of any rejected items
- Prepares, mixes, weighs, measures and manages all orders for quality and completion standards
- Loads and unloads pans
- Inspects all lines and verify that clean up and paperwork was completed for the day, before releasing the staff
- Verifies and checks the status of all orders during the panning process, from start to finish
- Schedule and produce all work orders
- Monitor and deflect and allergen/cross contamination issues
- Responsible for each product to be produced right the first run through to minimize seconds
- Responsible for the knowledge on: BRC, HACCP, Safety, Products, Customer Specifications, SSOP’s etc.
- Reports to the supervisor any ingredients needed for upcoming orders in the proper timeframe for receiving
- Confers with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies
- Makes suggestions on improving work procedures
- Develops strong relationships with other staff to develop course material and receive feedback
- Completes all necessary audits that is required to maintain BRC and safety standards
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. This position requires most of the work to be performed on the manufacturing floor in an area that requires hearing protection. This role uses raw material and requires sanitation, good hygiene and good manufacturing practices to be applied.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Throughout the day the employee will need to lift up to 50 lbs. of material.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday, 5 am to 3:00 pm. Times may fluctuate during the year to accommodate production schedules

Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
