Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Clinician to join our team. As a Clinician, you will be responsible for providing counseling and therapeutic services to individuals with various mental health conditions. Your expertise in gender issues counseling, addiction counseling, and cognitive behavioral therapy will be essential in helping our clients achieve their treatment goals.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the appropriate treatment plan for each client
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide researched based therapeutic interventions to consumers;
- Provide diagnostic assessments.
- Adhere to agency documentation guidelines (i.e. progress notes, treatment plans)
- Demonstrate efficiencies with managing personal caseload and the clinical needs of the clinic
- Provide emergency assessment and response of consumers in crisis
- Document all services as directed by Paving the Way Multi Service Institute;
- Provide consultation to facilitate a coordinated continuum of care
- Maintain confidentiality of consumer’s contacts
- Participate in the Clinic’s continuous quality improvement plan
- Maintain and submit annual training and HR requirements
- Engages in collaborative care and coordination of external referrals
- Participates in mandatory supervision as required by District regulations
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed
- Offer support and guidance to clients' families and caregivers
- Stay current on the latest developments in the field of mental health through continuing education and professional development activities
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Familiarity with medical coding and documentation requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Required: Master’s Degree in Social work or Counseling
- Required: If Psychologist, must possess a PhD.
- License: LICSW/LGSW, LPC/LGPC, Psychologist
- Required: 1-3 years of experience in the provision of outpatient mental health services to youth and/or adults.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
