As an Assistant Cannabis Grower at Oak Creek Farms, you will work under the Head Grower and play a critical role in the cultivation and care of cannabis plants from seed to harvest. You will be responsible for working with a team to maintain a healthy and productive cultivation environment, ensuring the highest quality and yield of cannabis plants while adhering to regulatory and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist Head Grower in overseeing all aspects of cannabis cultivation, including planting, transplanting, feeding, trimming, pruning, and harvesting.
- Monitor and maintain optimal environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, lighting, and ventilation, to promote plant health and growth.
- Mix and apply nutrients, fertilizers, and pesticides as needed, ensuring the well-being of the plants while adhering to safety protocols.
- Implement crop rotation and sanitation practices to prevent disease and pests.
- Manage irrigation systems, including drip systems, to ensure proper hydration of plants.
- Maintain accurate digital records of plant inventory, tracking growth stages, yields, and compliance data.
- Adhere to Tribal ordinances regarding cannabis cultivation and ensure compliance in all cultivation activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe and healthy working environment for yourself and the team.
- Work collaboratively with other team members, including Oak Creek Dispensary staff and trimmers, packagers, and manufacturing to achieve production goals.
- Stay informed about the latest cultivation techniques and innovations in the cannabis industry.
- May be required to perform other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A degree or certification in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field is a plus.
- Skilled in maintaining the operations digital management system
- Proven experience in cannabis cultivation or a similar horticultural field.
- Ability to routinely work evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of cannabis strains, genetics, and cultivation techniques.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot cultivation equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality cannabis products.
- Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing cultivation methods and technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Must be able to successfully pass and complete a drug test and background check.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
