Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional pharmaceutical care to our patients. Your expertise in medication administration, patient care, and utilization review will contribute to the overall success of our pharmacy department. Duties: - Dispense medications accurately and efficiently - Conduct patient consultations to ensure safe and effective medication use - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes - Perform medication therapy management and provide drug information to patients and healthcare providers - Utilize your knowledge of aseptic technique and IV infusion to prepare sterile products - Participate in medication reconciliation processes - Assist in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures - Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department - Provide education and training to pharmacy staff, interns, and students Experience: - Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy - Active pharmacist license in the state of [location] - Completion of a pharmacy residency program (preferred) - Experience in acute care or hospital pharmacy setting (preferred) - Proficiency in medical management and utilization review processes - Knowledge of acute pain management protocols Skills: - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team - Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for order entry and medication verification We offer competitive compensation packages, including benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
