Team One Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fraud Supervisor to join our team. The role will be responsible for leading team efforts against fraud losses, as well as coordinating the recovery of losses due to fraudulent activity. Additionally, the Fraud Supervisor will actively participate in the monitoring, detecting, investigating, preventing, and resolving fraudulent activity, as well as educating the organization about detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud.
While some hybrid-remote possibilities may exist after successful completion of the initial training period, this role will be performed primarily on-site from Saginaw, MI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Fraud Prevention Team.
- Monitor fraudulent activities.
- Coordinate the recovery of losses due to fraudulent activity.
- Educate credit union employees to identify and respond to potential or actual fraud.
- Function as a liaison to local, state, and federal law enforcement.
- Prepare reports providing information on and updating the status of current investigations.
- Conduct investigations into suspected fraudulent activity.
- Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on fraud prevention and detection.
- Actively collaborate with other departments to identify and mitigate fraud risks.
- Develop and disburse fraud prevention education materials to the membership and surrounding communities.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
- Certification in fraud examination (CFE) or related field, preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fraud prevention and detection
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of fraud detection software and tools
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
