Blue Cross Veterinary Clinic, located in the vibrant neighborhood of East Phoenix, is seeking a dedicated veterinarian or new graduate to join our team. Blue Cross Veterinary Clinic is a 4-doctor small animal practice committed to providing high-quality care to our beloved canine and feline patients. With state-of-the-art facilities, including six exam rooms, digital X-ray & digital dental X-ray, laser therapy & ultrasound, and separate dog & cat entrances, we ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients.
Job Summary: The Associate DVM ensures a high quality of veterinary care, client service, employee well-being, and productivity of the veterinary medical team. The managing owners will lead the Associate DVM. They will provide a thorough mentorship program rooted in AAHA guardrails to our new graduates! The hospital leaders ensure the well-being of the hospital environment, the team, the medical quality, and the business performance of the hospital.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide consistent, high-quality care and exceptional service to ensure the well-being of the hospital environment and medical quality.
- Partner with the owners to establish development plans to meet hospital goals.
- Effectively communicate with the veterinary team, management, and clients.
- Practice veterinary medicine in a manner compliant with the State Veterinary Practice Act, Federal and State Controlled Substance laws, Blue Cross Code of Ethics, and appropriate medical record documentation.
- Ensure complete medical records that meet practice quality control guidelines.
- Demonstrate integrity and ethics in all actions and behaviors.
- Communicate fully with clients, including in-person, via phone, and via emails as needed.
- Advocate for exceptional client service and patient well-being.
- Adhere to OSHA standards and regulations as outlined by Blue Cross Veterinary Clinic policies.
- Utilize proficient computer skills.
- Aid in building an effective veterinary team and be an enthusiastic team member.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions in animals
- Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as needed
- Conduct regular check-ups and vaccinations for pets

- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care for animals

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy
- Experience working with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and exotic pets
