- Looking for Full Time medical assistant to work in a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Practice in Brighton, MI.
-Flexible Schedule/Hours
-1-2 Saturdays/Month
Medical Assistant Job Duties:Include but not limited to;
- Greet patients and show them to consult/exam rooms
- Taking medical histories and recording vital signs
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during the examination
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens or perform basic laboratory tests on the premises
- Dispose of contaminated supplies, and sterilize medical instruments- Arrange examining-room instruments and equipment
- Stock exam rooms with supplies
-Purchase and maintain supplies and equipment
- Keep waiting and examining rooms neat and clean
- Completely fill out lab slips and other forms when necessary
Skills/Qualifications:
- Must have thorough education or training in the basics of medical terminology, must have successfully completed and graduated from a medical assistant program.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as medical assistant in a gynecological/reproductive endocrinology office is preferred and/or experience assisting in procedures
-Experience as a medical assistant is required
- Must have phlebotomy experience
- Ability to work with clinical staff as a team player and handle workload from more than one provider
