The Patient Care Coordinator supports our patients and providers and assists in the day-to-day operational and administrative needs to ensure excellent organizational effectiveness. The Patient Care Coordinator is accountable for contributing positively to the office based on shared values of dignity, respect, and the spirit helpfulness for each other and our patients. Additional duties may be assigned.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Address patient requests, questions, concerns, and needs in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring patient satisfaction.
2. Assist with various monthly marketing tasks.
3. Provide clinical support as needed to providers including intakes and exam assistance.
4. Provide patient flow assistance as needed including greeting, scheduling, and answering the phone.
5. Provide administrative assistance to internal clinic teams. May include reports, audits, updating documentation, mail correspondence, or maintaining files.
6. Participate in a variety of internal meetings and trainings to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new office developments, requirements, regulatory shifts, and policies.
7. Adhere to all Northwest Wellness policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations.
8. Any other duties or special projects as assigned. Position may also be modified to accommodate the specific needs of the business.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma
· 2 years of experience in a fast-paced administrative role
· 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role
· Superior interpersonal effectiveness skills including communication and teamwork
· Excellent problem solving, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organization skills
· Technical proficiency in computer usage (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, electronic mail and internet functions) and ability to learn new systems quickly
· Drive, adaptability, and integrity
· Able to speak, read and write English fluently
· Ability to pass a criminal background check per company policy
Preferred Qualifications:
· Associates degree
· Prior experience in a healthcare setting
Working conditions
The Patient Care Coordinator will spend 100% of their time in an office environment indoors. This will require time both spent at a computer station for office work and standing.
The usual business hours for this role will be Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, however this role will require some evening and weekends to meet job requirements.
This position will have intermittent supervision.
Physical requirements
Role may require frequent standing, walking, sitting, keyboarding, and driving. Occasional twisting, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, kneeling or squatting. Seldom work above shoulders, and operation of equipment.
Position will require the employee to talk and hear.
Lifting can range from frequent 10 lbs. or less to seldom lifting of greater than 20 lbs.
