JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The maintenance coordinator is responsible for tracking and scheduling of routine maintenance of equipment, arranging of repairs, issuing of equipment.
Position Summary
Fleet coordinators are responsible for managing and coordinating the vehicle department. These individuals ensure that trucks and trailers are in proper working order.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible to track, control, and schedule all maintenance for all fleet vehicles.
- Monitor location of vehicles using GPS platform, creating reports on location, idle time, and speeding alerts.
- Facilitate communication between management/Driver Managers.
- Professional image and excellent communication skills while maintaining positive, professional, and helpful interactions with external customers.
- Update appropriate fleet management company records with new driver information.
- Communicate and coordinate maintenance needs with Operations Manager, Team members and external customers.
- Update DOT Fleet Program for maintaining files on all fleet vehicles.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Mechanical knowledge of semi-trucks/trailers.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office and other programs).
- Time management.
- Ability to multitask.
- Experience with scheduling
- Ability to manage phone calls Work Environment.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Evening and weekend work are required by demand.
Travel
15%-20% travel is required.
Required Education and Experience

- Two years in maintenance coordination role.
Preferred Education and Experience
- A.A. or A.S. in business, logistics, or management
- Three to five years of experience in a maintenance coordination role.
