Quality Assurance Specialist I

RMBIO manufactures cell culture media, sera, transport media, and protein fractions for the global research, biopharma, medical, and clinical diagnostic industries. We are currently seeking candidates to fill a permanent position as an administrative assistant.
Position Overview:
RMBIO is a fast-growing company and our ideal candidate is comfortable wearing many hats and assisting multiple departments. This position will report to the Quality Manager and is focused on document control and regulatory compliance. Quality assurance is generally responsible for ensuring a company’s operating procedures (i.e., manufacturing processes) prevent mistakes and ensure predefined quality standards are met.
Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist Quality Manager with daily tasks like printing product labels, paperwork, and ongoing projects.
- Assist warehouse department with things like incoming and outgoing product paperwork and inventory counts.
- Communicate with warehouse and production team to confirm purchased products meet RMBIO requirements/specifications and is therefore suitable to use in product manufacturing.
- Prepare documents/records for product manufactured at RMBIO
- Basic review of regulatory requirements that may affect company products and processes to help the Quality Manager confirm all requirements are met
- Update standard operating procedures (SOP’s) with new information as needed
- Draft new SOP’s related to the quality department
- File, organize, and maintain quality documents
- RMBIO retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position
Qualifications/skills
· Must be detail oriented
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills
· Self-motivated and takes pride in their work
· Professional
· Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks
· Master's Degree in biology, chemistry, or related field preferred
· Experience in manufacturing industry a plus
· Familiarity with cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GDP (Good Documentation Practices), and GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) experience a plus
