We have immediate openings for 1st shift CNC lathe and mill machinists.
DUTIES:
- Set up/program and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Select and install cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and other accessories according to specifications
- Load materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain accuracy and productivity
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Troubleshoot issues with the machine or the machining process and make necessary adjustments or repairs
SKILLS:
- Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of tooling and cutting techniques for CNC machining
- Experience with CAM programming and CNC programming languages
- Familiarity with CAD software for creating or modifying part designs
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles
- Experience with Mazatrol programming is a plus
- Ability to fabricate parts from raw materials using CNC machines
-Minimum of 2 years CNC or manual machining experience
