POSITION SUMMARY
Hamilton Street, Inc. t/a Flooring Central is looking for an experienced professional to assist our sales department in requesting pricing on materials, creating work orders, estimates, proposals, and submittals. The candidate will also coordinate administrative office services such as coordinating general business activities for themselves and others, appointment-setting, records control, and other administrative activities for Flooring Central operating policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Works with the VP of Sales to create proposals
- Request and record pricing on material for new and revised proposals
- Communicate with the warehouse manager regarding deliveries to jobs or material received
- Communicate with the purchasing manager when needed, regarding purchasing the material for jobs
- Create estimates, work orders, floor plans and pick lists with flooring measurements needed
- Manage warranty scheduling for residential jobs between the homeowner and the installer
- Coordinates and implements general office services such as appointment-setting, records control, and other administrative activities
- Communicates effectively with all departments
- Works collectively with the Project Managers and Accounting when applicable
- Locates and compiles information; formats reports, graphs, tables, records and other sources of information
- Assembles and categorizes facts and figures for written computation and calculations
- Operates personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software
- Uses various software applications such as spreadsheets, QuickBooks, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports
- Exercises administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results impacting staff, costs, and/or quality of service within the functional area
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Experience in flooring and construction is a plus.
- Able to exchange non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Adaptable, positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
